About This Texas HVAC and Electrician License Guide

What this site is

This site is an independent aggregator that explains the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation's (TDLR) requirements for HVAC contractor and electrician licensing, and compares TDLR-approved continuing education providers; it does not teach, deliver, or sell any course itself. We publish the experience, exam, and fee requirements in plain language, keep a provider comparison current against TDLR's own roster, and link out to providers so a reader can enroll directly with them.

What this site is not

This site is not TDLR, is not a government agency, and does not issue any HVAC or electrician license itself. This site is not RocketCert, At Your Pace Online, or any other provider listed on approved providers; we do not operate a course, and enrolling through one of our links means enrolling directly with that provider under that provider's own terms.

This site may earn a commission on some provider links. See affiliate disclosure for the full statement; we do not hide this, and it does not change the requirement information this site publishes.

Who verifies the content on this site

Every TDLR fact on this site, experience hours, exam requirements, fees, renewal periods, and which providers are TDLR-roster-confirmed, is sourced to TDLR's own published rules and website, or to a provider's own pricing page or the Texas statutes. A fact that cannot be sourced this way is not presented as a settled figure.

How often this site is reviewed

Every page carries a "last verified" and "next review" date in its own metadata, and the default review cycle is every six months unless a specific TDLR rule or fee schedule changes sooner, in which case the affected page and its dates are updated immediately.

Contact

This site does not currently operate a staffed support line or a public contact form. For a question specific to your own license application or renewal, contact TDLR directly through tdlr.texas.gov. For a question about a specific provider's course, contact that provider directly.
